Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and began her career in film and TV shows, including Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and later on create projects such as Double Dare (1976) and has made appearances on such programs on television as 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most popular role was for her role as "Christine Sullivan", an actress and Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992 she appeared in 156 shows. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, a poet, and noted nuclear physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918 - April 7, 2015). Had two daughters with her second husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30, 1990). She was born in Palo Alto, California and raised in Walnut Creek. Attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were brought home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post died three months after her 71st Birthday on August 7, 2021. She was 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) and her co-star , who died on July 11 the 11th of July, 2020. While the two shows were not connected, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) was the first show to introduce Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), after which she relocated to a more secluded area after working in Washington DC.
